New Venture Progression

I have been busy in a various degree of ways, and no… not the life ways, the ones that drive you crazy and make you bemoan all that the world takes from you and the lacking reciprocation it returns. I’ve been freelance writing for a popular media group, and had a few modest articles published with a forth in the works. It’s paid, so I’ve had to focus on those over the last month or so. In between trying to get And The Stars Ran Red critiqued (finding someone you feel comfortable with is apparently harder than first expected), I have started working on May 5 & The Assassin.

It is with this that I come to light now.

I’ve decided to present the web serial in an episodic format, hopefully once a week on Fridays. The first episode is written, and bar a bit of colour being added, complete, and the second I’m going to be starting in the next day or two. They’re going to run at around 2,000 words each and follow a tightly cohesive storyline running the serial’s full length until, hopefully, it’s complete. I’m close to deciding the publishing type for the episodes, and just need to nail down my approach to the presentation of the entire project, but I’m really trying to go for something different, something more than just text on a page. On the style and genre front, it’s a tongue-in-cheek, cocky sci-fi thriller for adults.

Sufficed to say, I’m excited.

The one thing I want though, is any thoughts or feelings, character ideas or anything to do with experience in this kind of medium – I don’t mind making it reader-inspired to some degree. I could also use a couple of beta-readers to check out the first episode.
